The Last Resort

Established in 1902, The Last Resort offers a perfect "get away from it all" vacation, providing an absolute wilderness atmosphere for the adventurous type who desires to be close to nature and away from the hustle and bustle of city and suburban life.

Nestled among our 70 acres of spruce, cedar, pine and birch trees are eight rustic log cabins and four primitive tent sites. Each cabin has a front porch overlooking the lake and commands a spectacular view of the mountain range across the lake and awe inspiring sunsets.

There's no place in New England quite like Attean Lake Lodge. Set on an island in a beautiful unspoiled lake and surrounded by the majestic peaks of the White Mountains, Attean is a wilderness paradise.

Our 15 comfortable log cottages are tucked along the Northwest shore of Birch Island and nestled amid towering pines, spruce and birch.

Accommodating from two to six guests, the cottages are completely furnished. Each features a private porch with lake and mountain views, a wood-burning fireplace, hot and cold running water and full bath.
